On the 1st July 2009 I finally came out in the open with my idea I had been working on researching and building up since 17th April 2008, SKY Magazine. "SKY" stood for "Smart Kid = You" and with time & suggestion from a close friend it now stands for "Support Knowledge(able) Youth". The concept is a free magazine for teenagers with its aim for students to submit content ranging from photography, graphics, editorial to students aiding on its distribution, growth extending over to events, workshops and later actual career moves and interests.
Why? I feel very strongly about ensuring that teenagers are given as many opportunities if not all, opportunities for growth, independance and creativity. I am learning a lot about life & myself doing this magazine, I never placed myself to be doing design nor be doing the editorial - I planned to take a supervisory role and place more well-suited and qualified individuals to handle the task of print & publishing - I also want this to be in the Chinese language as soon as possible.
